Environmental Policy 
K M Courtier Ltd recognises its obligations as a Contracting Company in the fields of Civil Engineering & Drainage projects and is committed to ensuring that all of it’s operations are managed in an environmentally responsible and sensitive manner. 
 
As a Company K M Courtier Ltd has been involved with numerous projects that have been Environmentally sensitive over it’s 35 year history, from working in the vicinity of badgers, stabilisation of river banks & bases with input from the Environment Agency 
Meet and, where possible, exceed environmental laws, regulations and voluntary commitments. 
Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions. 
Endeavour to utilise sustainable materials and products which are re-useable or can be recycled. 
Take all necessary and practical steps to minimise noise levels, traffic nuisance, and emission of pollutants and disturbance to the public and local eco-systems. 
The prevention of pollution and the monitoring and reduction of any impact the company’s operations may have on the environment and local community. 
Training 
1. All KM Courtier Ltd personnel are CSCS card holders 
 
2. All personnel to be competent, trained and certificated for the task they are to undertake 
 
3. All certificates obtained by operatives are CITB or similarly approved and are continually updated 
 
4. KM Courtier Ltd Safety Officer, Mr Steven Courtier, will give regular in-house/ on site training and assessments 
 
5. On the commencement of new contracts a site induction will take place to inform operatives of:

6. Site consultations on the basis of formal communication via tool box talks are held to make sure operatives understand the Risk Assessments and method statements and COSHH assessments 
 
7. Effective training and communication via quarterly staff meetings, monthly newsletters and internal memos 
 
8. Monthly management meetings to assess training requirements 
 
9. Staff initial inductions, 12 week post induction reviews and annual appraisals will be conducted by KM Courtier Ltd

Health & Safety 
Our Health & Safety policy is of the highest quality. The welfare of employees is of prime importance and we take every measure to ensure a healthy and safe working environment. All our employees are fully trained, qualified in their areas of expertise and are constantly monitored to ensure that all our work is in compliance with the Health & Safety Act 1974. 
Provide risk assessments, method statements & COSHH information. 
Provide the correct information for Health & Safety Plans under CDM regulations 
Ensure employees are fully aware of the dangers on site by the use of method statements, COSHH information, toolbox talks & site inductions prior to commencement of work. 
Our in House Safety Officer makes regular site visits. 
Safety is paramount to anything at KM Courtier Ltd as our accident report shows.
