K M Courtier Ltd was established in 1971 by the previous Managing Director Keith Courtier under the name of K M Courtier Plant Hire.

In 1986 the company’s name changed to K M Courtier Ltd and in the Autumn of 2002 the company moved to its present address.

Steven Courtier joined the company in June 1990 with Neil Courtier joining in 1993.

In April 2003 after much deliberation Keith & Sue decided to retire and the company was transferred to Steven & Neil.  

Over the years the company has progressed from plant hire to drainage works of various sizes to the present day where Civil Engineering Contracts of various degrees are under taken, but the roots are still in drainage.

The company is run today by Managing Director Steve Courtier who still likes to keep his hands dirty, with his right hand men, Director Neil Courtier who always likes to keep his hands dirty and the cleanest hands of all, Alan Hewings Office Manager.

In 2006 the company took the decision to move with the times obtain accreditation in ISO 9001:2000 and qualify entry onto the UVDB & CHAS lists. Steve and Neil’s wives Lisa and Liesa Courtier stepped up to the new challenge becoming the Training Manager and Quality Assurance Manager.

And most importantly of all the rest of the `Family’ the employees, some of whom have been working for K M Courtier Ltd for as long as I’ve been alive and are all valued members of the working team today known as the DRAINAGE PROFESSIONALS.
